Scar Revision Before and After Photos in Naples, FL, patient 23055

This is a 43 year old woman who had long standing acne scarring that left her with diagonal, depressed scars near the corners of her mouth and outer chin (see green arrows on front view). She had tried to improve these elsewhere with plasma pen treatments, micro-needling, and injectable fillers. Dr. Anurag Agarwal, a double board certified facial plastic surgeon, performed a scar revision procedure to excise the linear scar and convert the scar into an irregular scar, which is less visible to the human eye. The depressed segments were excised. The before, intra-operative, and 17 month post-operative photographs are shown. You can see how her scars are much less visible. It's impossible to eliminate scars completely, but techniques such as W-plasty or geometric broken line closure can certainly help.
